Do you ever look at someones outfit and think to yourself, "what were you thinking"? Whether they are wearing too many trends at once, ill fitting clothes, or something just plain awful, we've all done it. Everyone has their own sense of style, but there are certain do's and don'ts that everyone should follow.
Stockings/tights are not pants. If you can see through them, they are not meant to act as pants. if there is a visible line on the mid-thigh, it should not be seen. Either wear a dress or a top long enough to completely conceal your behind or wear a pair of jeans. It's not a pretty sight to see.
Midriffs are for girls with abs or flat midsections. If you can pinch your fat, don't wear a cropped top. You'd think that this should be obvious, but some people are completely oblivious as to how to dress their bodies.
Print on print on print. Please, oh pretty please don't do this. Too many prints at once is just plain wrong. There is a right way and a wrong way to do this. It all depends on colors, types of prints, and textures. This can go really wrong really fast.
Over doing it can happen quicker than you think. Certain trends are not meant to work together. For instance, a colorful sequined skirt does not go with lace stockings and a chevron top. Colors don't have to necessarily match exactly, but they should work together in some way. Accessories, such as jewelry, scarves, and handbags, can be added to tie everything together.
So, there you have it, four things not to do. I could keep on going, I'm sure we have all seen things we wish we hadn't. Fashion isn't necessarily about rules, but it is about finding things that work for your style and your body.
